General Notes: Husband - John L. Dilley

His grandfather, Francis Lock, was a captain in the Revolutionary war under General Washington and was shot and killed in the last battle of the war. He located land, with his soldier's claim, on five hundred acres. John L. Dilley received as his share one hundred acres, upon which he farmed until his death.

His oldest sister came with the grandparents from Scotland and settled in New Jersey, she taking the mother's place in moving the family. She married Dr. Haines in Cortland, Ohio, and died aged ninety-two years.
