KNOX — Ida Mae Henry, 83, of Knox RD died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at the Lamartine, Salem Township, home of her son, Lester Henry.
Born Feb. 22, 1921, in Ash­land Township, she was the daughter of Charles and Rosa Berlin Dittman.
Mrs. Henry was married Feb. 5, 1941, to Homer Henry, who survives. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary this year.
Mrs. Henry was a member of St. Mark United Church of Christ in Monroe.
Mrs. Henry was a homemak­er and loved working with flow­ers and enjoyed baking and cooking.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Ruth Ann Weaver and her husband, Richard, of Knox RD; two sons, Lester C. Henry and wife, Kathy, of Lamartine, and Eugene C. Henry and his wife, Doris, of RD1, Knox; sev­en grandchildren, Shelli McHenry and Garry Henry, both of Knox, Becky Lewis of Emlenton, Jay Henry of Ship­penville, Stephen Henry of New York and April Weaver and Autumn Weaver, both of Knox; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchil­dren; and six great-step­grandchildren.
She also is survived by two brothers, Neil Dittman and James Dittman, both of Knox.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by a sister, Eileen John­son.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, June 10, at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Knox.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy Dun­mire, pastor of St. Mark United Church of Christ, and the Rev. Chris Lewis, pastor of the Bethany Evangelical Congrega­tional Church at Crossroads, officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mark United Church of Christ Cemetery, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Clarion-Forest Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, Knox, 16232.
