General Notes: Husband - David Donaldson

He was born in Ireland and came to Maryland in 1771, and to Washington County, Pennsylvania, in 1792, and participated in the Whisky Insurrection.

His father lived in County Antrim, Ireland (near Castle O'Neil), until June 6, 1771, when father and son sailed for America, and settled in Cecil County, Maryland. In 1792 the son David moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania, where the family then resided. He was the father of eleven children-eight girls and three boys.

He is known to have settled in Maryland about 1751. From there he came to Washington County, Pennsylvania, remaining for a time at Gastonville, and then moved into Allegheny County, where he probably died.
