General Notes: Husband - John G. Donaldson

They lived in Frankford (later a ward in Philadelphia, PA) until 1815, where he was engaged as a bookbinder. In May, 1815, they went to Mercer County, PA, and lived in Otter Creek one year, when they purchased a farm in Hempfield Township, and lived there until 1835, when they purchased a farm in Salem Township where they lived until their decease. While living in Mercer County he made several trips on foot to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, and would there work at his trade a few months at a time, to earn money with which to support his family and pay for his farm.
