Juniata Co, PA

He was a distinguished physician, a member of the Masonic fraternity, who organized the first Masonic lodge at Mifflin, Pennsylvania, and an active worker in the interests of the old Democratic party. He was born in Sharon, Connecticut, and moved to Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, in 1790. He was elected to the State Senate of Pennsylvania when the seat of government was at Lancaster.
