General Notes: Husband - Allen M. Fell

As a boy he attended schools in the winter time and farmed during the summer months on the old farm on which he was born. This continued until he was seventeen years old, when he attended college at Akron, Ohio. Later he attended Duff's Business College at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and then engaged in the lumber business with his father in Greenville. He was manager of the Arlington Hotel for about two years, a hotel built by his father. In 1892 he engaged in the lumber business with Mr. Frampton, his father-in-law, at Portsmouth, Ohio. Returning to Mercer County in 1895, Mr. Fell engaged in farming and lumbering on his own account. His mills were located in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and he was the owner of a large amount of timber land in West Virginia. Besides his lumbering interests he was farming eight hundred acres of choice land in Mercer County.
Mr. Fell being a progressive man of affairs, naturally found a place among the members of the Masonic order, belonging to New Cumberland Lodge No. 22, F. & A. M., at New Cumberland, West Virginia. Politically he was a stanch defender of Republican party principles.

Notes: Marriage

They were married March 8, 1892. [HMC 1909, 554]
