General Notes: Husband - David Gamble


He was educated by his father, and commenced the study of medicine with his brother, Dr. William J. Gamble, and was graduated from the Cincinnati Medical College in 1859. He established himself in Jamestown, Pennsylvania, in 1860, and was actively engaged practicing for ten years. In 1867 he engaged in the drug business, and confined his practice to his office on account of his health. He was elected county coroner in 1876, which office he filled for three years. In 1872 he was elected justice of the peace for Jamestown, and served several terms. He was one of the school directors, and secretary of the school board.
