General Notes: Husband - Gellert Goehring

He was born on the homestead farm in Cranberry township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. He grew to maturity under the parental roof, and received a good common school education. Immediately after marriage he settled on a part of his father's farm, and he became the owner of 126 acres there, and of seventy-one acres near Ogle. He followed stock-droving for twelve years. He was a Republican, and filled the offices of school director and supervisor. Both he and his wife were members of the German Protestant church, of Zelienople.
