General Notes: Husband - William Lawrence Graham

He was graduated in the public schools of Pittsburgh, and graduated from high school in 1892. His first important work was to take charge of the office of Congressman G. R. Dresser, of Bradford, Pennsylvania, in 1899. In 1900 he entered into partnership with his father-in-law, E. W. Sterling, of Masontown, under the firm name of Sterling & Graham, of which concern he eventually became the head. In addition, he interested himself in 1905 in the Masontown National Bank, of which he became president. Organized under a charter granted in December, 1902, this bank opened for business January 27, 1903, under the presidency of E. W. Sterling, with S. F. Hogue as cashier, who was followed after one year by Mr. Graham. On the death of Mr. Sterling, Mr. Graham became its president. Mr. Graham was also secretary and treasurer of the Masontown Window Glass Company.
Mr. Graham was allied with numerous clubs and societies. The Duquesne and Union clubs of Pittsburgh, the Laurel and Uniontown Country clubs of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the Nemacolin Country Club of Bealsville, Pennsylvania, and the Turkey's Nest Mountain Club of Uniontown, all attest his love of the out-of-doors and his popularity. He was also a thirty-second degree Mason, Knight Templar, and a member of Syria Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Any community campaign for a local or national cause had his hearty support. During the first World War, he was chairman of all the Liberty Loan drives of the Masontown district. He served on Fayette County's War Chest, and he acted as chairman of a number of Red Cross campaigns.
