General Notes: Husband - Francis M. Williams

---

He was reared at home, educated in the common schools, and on reaching man's estate adopted farming as a means of livelihood. After his marriage he located on his own farm and by practical and progressive methods achieved a large degree of financial success in the management thereof. After the death of his father Mr. Williams served in the capacity of president of the First National Bank of Smithton, of which his father was one of the organizers and the president up to his demise. Mr. Williams also served as township auditor. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and an Independent in politics.
