General Notes: Husband - John Hoy

He came from Union County, Pennsylvania, as did also his parents. By trade he was a miller, which occupation he continued to follow until 1840, when he purchased a farm in Benner township, Centre County.

By trade he was a miller, and followed that occupation for many years. In early manhood he came to Centre County, and resided in Jacksonville, Walker township.
