Columbus, OH - a butcher

He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the One Hundred and Sixteenth Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry.

He remained on the farm till the time of the Civil war when he enlisted in the service. He was a member of Co. H, 140th O. V. I. After the close of the war he removed to Middleport, Meigs County, Ohio, where he engaged in the meat business for a number of years. In 1893 he removed to Columbus, Ohio, to continue in the same business.
