General Notes: Husband - Sanford M. McIntyre

He attended district school until he was seventeen years of age, and then assumed a clerkship in the general store of the Laufman Company, at Apollo, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. He remained identified with this business for fourteen years, and later became associated with the Von T. Sheplor Company, at Vandergrift, as partner and business manager. Seven years spent under the stress of these important responsibilities so affected his health that he was obliged to sell his interest in the business and remove to Greenville. Soon after becoming a resident of that city in 1908 he became proprietor of the Pollard News Company, which was soon the largest distributing agency in Mercer County.
He was one of the influential members of the Presbyterian Church, his membership with the fraternities remaining with the Royal Arcanum lodge of Apollo, and the I. O. O. F., K. of P. and A. I. U. of Vandergrift.

Later, he was a newsdealer in the town of Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
