General Notes: Husband - Jacob Johnson


He was of Wallingford, Connecticut, where he was sergeant of the Wallingford train band and is mentioned in the records as "Sergeant Jacob". He served as deputy in the General Court, 1732, 1733 and 1736. He was a man of substance and influence and the possessor at the time of his death of about four hundred acres of land and several slaves.

He and his first wife were the parents of ten children, all of whom grew to maturity and had families. The youngest of these was Rev. Jacob.
