General Notes: Husband - Shedrick Simcox
By 1798, he was living in Cross Creek township, Washington County, PA. By February 1806, he had moved to Venango County, where he was one of the earliest settlers. He received a grant of personal property from Robert Jones (probably his father-in-law) and in 1812, purchased 300 acres in French Creek Township from John Jones. Over the next 10 years or so, he purchased additional acreage and resided there for the rest of his life.
He served in the war of 1812.
