General Notes: Husband - James G. Weaver

He was born on the old family homestead in Washington township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, and there grew to manhood, assisting in the labors of the farm and attending the district schools. He later owned the place, which consisted of 100 acres of rich and arable land under cultivation and improved with a comfortable residence and good barns and outbuildings.
He was a soldier in the Civil War; enlisted July 25, 1862, in Company G, 155th P. V. I., and met the enemy in the battles of Antietam, Fredericksburg and other important en-gagements. He was honorably discharged in December, 1862, but being ill at the time it was six weeks before he was able to return home.
