Harry M. Lusher
ELLWOOD CITY - Harry M. Lusher, 58, of 802 California Ave. died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday in Ellwood City Hospital after a one-day illness.
He was born in Ellwood City May 22, 1915 to Mrs. Lissa Walters Lusher and the late Charles M. Lusher. He was employed as a bench gauger in the cold draw department of the Ellwood Works of the U.S. Steel Corp. where he began in 1933.
Mr. Lusher was a member of First Christian Church, a former member of the SOC Sunday School Class. He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
He was married to the former Dorothy Jean Welsh, who died in 1965.
He is survived by his mother of Ellwood City; a son, James D., with the U.S. Coast Guard in Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Eiler of Zelienople and Mrs. Paul (Bertha) Falen of Fairless Hill.
Friends will be received at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by Clarence W. Morris, minister of the church. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Lusher, 51, Dies
Mrs. Dorothy G. Lusher, 51, of 802 California Ave., died at Ellwood city General Hospital at 1:35 p.m. yesterday following an illness of several months.
She was born in Ellwood City Oct. 12, 1913, a daughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Bohlen Welsh of 320 Crescent Ave. and the late Harvey Welsh.
She was a member of the First Christian Church. She taught the junior Sunday School class and was attendance clerk. She formerly served her church as treasurer for many years.
Mrs. Lusher had been employed in the mortgage department of the Lawrence Savings and Trust Co. for over five years. Prior to that she had worked at Ruben's Furniture Store and Jake Oswold's store.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Harry M. Lusher, whom she married 24 years ago; one son, James D. Lusher, at home; one brother, Donald E. Welsh, of Cambria, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Kettler of Ellport, Mrs. William (Irene) Carver of RD 1, and Mrs. James (Phyllis) Vesco of Midland.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter in 1946.
Friends are invited to call at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Clarence W. Morris, her pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

LUSHER, MRS. HARRY M.: 51, of 802 California Ave., the former Dorothy G. Welsh, wife of Harry M. Lusher, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, September 27, 1965. The family will receive friends at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St., Ellwood City 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home with Clarence W. Morris, minister of First Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society.

Miss Dorothy Welsh Weds Harry Lusher
Ceremony Performed This Morning At Bride's Home By Rev. Herman Patton
ELLWOOD CITY, Aug. 15 - Quiet simplicity marked the wedding at 10:30 o'clock this morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Welsh, 213 Spring avenue, when their daughter, Miss Dorothy G. Welsh, exchanged the nuptial vows with Harry M. Lusher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lusher, 312 Pershing street.
The single ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Herman M. Patton, pastor of the First Christian church, in the presence of the immediate families.
For her wedding the attractive bride was attired in a becoming beige and brown fall ensemble, with brown accessories, and her flowers were yellow rosebuds.
Miss Tynee Thompson and Paul Falen were the attendants, with the former wearing a smart green and brown fall ensemble, with her flowers matching those of the bride.
Immediately after the ceremony the couple departed on a wedding trip, and after their return will reside at 617 Wayne avenue.
They are both well known and have many friends. The bride is employed in the office of the Ellwood Furniture company, and the bridegroom works for the National Tube company.
