General Notes: Husband - John Taylor

He was born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, near the site of Greensburg, where he resided until 1836, when he moved to Indiana County. Politically he was a Whig. He was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian church.

He came to Indiana County in 1830, and first settled on what was later the Wm. Lytle farm, then owned by Samuel G. Miller, Esq., and in 1838, moved into the woods and opened up a farm one mile west of Ebenezer.

He was drafted in the War of 1812, but peace was declared before his company reached the army.

General Notes: Wife - Ellen Miller

When she was six weeks old, she came from County Down, Ireland, with her parents to America, landing at Baltimore, Maryland.
