General Notes: Husband - Andrew Ziegler


He was the pioneer funeral director of Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was a small boy when his parents came to Butler County and settled in Lancaster Township. He was a carpenter and later engaged in the undertaking business, making his own caskets. His son, H. D. Ziegler, was associated with him in the undertaking busi­ness and in later life he conducted a furniture and hardware business also.

He was born in Jackson township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, learned the cabinet-maker's trade, which he followed for ten years, and afterwards engaged at the carpenter's trade. The family was connected with the German Reformed church.
