General Notes: Husband - Joseph Newcomer

He grew to manhood at the home farm, and was educated in private schools in German township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. He remained his father's assistant until the latter's death. He then in partnership with his brother David purchased a hundred acre farm which Joseph cultivated, David taking the old homestead. To this hundred acres additions were made, and other improvements added. He continued engaged in farming until his death. He was a Whig and Republican, in religious faith a "Dunkard" or German Baptist.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Ann Sessler
