Mrs. Genevieve P. Schreffler, 73, of Cranberry Star Route, died at 2 a.m. today, June 24, in the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
Born March 3, 1915, in Van, she was a daughter of Clyde O. and Lottie Rote Pryor.
Mrs. Schreffler taught in the Cranberry School district from 1934 to 1943 and again from 1963 to 1978.
She was a member of the Van United Methodist Church.
She was married June 10, 1939, to James Schreffler who died Jan 22, 1977.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Sandra) O'Neil of Seneca and Mrs. Dwight (Karla) Wenner of Cranberry; six grandchildren, Kenton, Steven and Kaylene O'Neil, all of Seneca, and Darren, Dustin and Kelly Wenner, all of Cranberry; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Isabelle) Wilson of Myerstown and Mrs. Winston (Ruby) Donaldson of Emlenton RD.
She was preceded in death by a son, Victor D. Schreffler, and two brothers, Emerson Pryor and Clifford Pryor.
Funeral - Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City with Rev. A. Pete Maihle, pastor of the Van Methodist Church officiating. Interment - Mount Zion Cemetery, Maple Shade
