General Notes: Husband - Thomas Bartley


He was born in Penn township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and was reared on the old family homestead. He afterwards went to Allegheny and learned the brickmaker's trade, and was there married. In 1857 he purchased 240 acres of land in Oakland township, Butler County, and lived there until 1871, then sold out and returned to Allegheny, where he was engaged in the manufacture of brick down to his death. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and in politics, a supporter of the Democratic party.
