General Notes: Husband - [Father] Shick


He and his wife were natives of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, whence they removed to Red Bank township, Clarion County. He was a prosperous farmer and acquired considerable extent of land, so that he was able to bequeath a farm to each of his sons. He was a Democrat, and became prominent in the party, holding the office of justice of the peace for a number of years. He and his wife were both members of the German Reformed church, and both died in Red Bank township.
