He lived on the homestead for many years, and afterward purchased a farm and grist-mill at Millbrook, Mercer County, PA, and died at that place.

She was possessed of a lively, vivacious disposition, and delighted to chaff young people about their sweethearts and beaux. She was an excellent housekeeper. She prepared flax and wool and wove large quantities of linen and woolen cloth. She was attacked by a fever and died at the age of forty years.
