General Notes: Husband - William Bell

Callensburg, Clarion Co, PA

He was born in Richland township, Venango County, PA, where he grew to manhood and married. He continued to reside on a farm there until 1840, when he moved to Clarion County and purchased 114 acres of timber land in Farmington township, on which he built a round-log house and stable. In the midst of the forest the family made their home while he cleared and improved his land; he afterward built a more pretentious hewed-log house. Both he and his wife were earnest and consist­ent members of the Presbyterian Church, and were widely and favorably known.
