General Notes: Husband - William B. Rodenbaugh

He was reared and educated in Venango County, Pennsylvania. He learned the carpenter's trade, and labored at his craft in Pittsburgh, Butler, and New Castle. In 1886, he went to New Castle, and as a contractor and as an architect built up a large and highly profitable business, establishing himself in the estimation of the people as a man of ability and fertile ideas. Finished products of his hands and brain could be seen on many of the principal streets of the city, and included, among a large number of beautiful homes, the handsome residences of R. P. Marshall; Dr. McKee, Capt. Gilliland, J. G. McConahy, E. E. Seavy, B. A. Winternitz, and the Croton M. E. Church. Mr. Rodenbaugh also built and sold a number of houses as a personal speculation.
He was a strong adherent of Republican principles, but owing to the magnitude of his business, he has never felt that he could conscientiously accept a nomination for office. He and his wife had many warm friends in the M. E. Church, of which they were leading members.

In 1919 he was residing in New York state, engaged in raising registered Clydesdale horses and registered Holstein cattle.
