General Notes: Husband - Evan Rice Evans


He received a collegiate education and entered the profession of the law. He was admitted to practice at the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, bar in 1793. He remained there but a short time, when he removed to the then new town of Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
