General Notes: Husband - Robert Graham

His education was obtained in the schools of Bradford township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. In 1861 he enlisted in Company K, 84th P. V. I., for three years, and was mustered in at Harrisburg. His regiment was assigned to the Army of the Potomac, and saw much active service. Among the important engagements in which Mr. Graham took part were the battles of Winchester, Bull Run (second), Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Fairfax C. H., Port Republic, Gettysburg, Petersburg and the Wilderness. He re-enlisted in 1864, this time in the 57th P. V. I., and served until the close of the war, receiving his discharge from further duty July 7, 1865, at Harrisburg. He was a prisoner in Libby prison seventeen days. Returning to his native place, he engaged in farming, his farm of seventy-two acres near Shawmut showing excellent management, and had good buildings and other improvements.
