General Notes: Husband - John Travis

His father, an Irish boy, and his mother, a Welsh girl, came across the ocean to America in the same ship, and on arriving in this country were both bound out to the same man to pay their passage, and when their terms of service had expired they had gained confidence enough in each other to enter into a life partnership, hence they went from the bonds of servitude into the bonds of matrimony. Several years afterward they emigrated to the western part of Pennsylvania, to West Mahoning township, Indiana County, and he built a mill on the site which later became Good's Mill, which was on Mahoning creek, one and one half miles from Dayton, Pennsylvania.

He was a farmer by occupation.

General Notes: Wife - Catherine Crissman

She came from Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, to Indiana County when she was eleven years of age, and lived with James Gahaghen until she was married.
