General Notes: Husband - Thomas Smith


He was a native of Virginia, who settled in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and in 1796 removed to what is now Summit township, Butler County, locating near the site of Bonny Brook. He remained at that point for eighteen years, was one of the first tax collectors in the county, and took an active interest in public affairs. About 1814 the family removed to Indiana.

She was a relative of the Cunninghams who donated a part of the land which now comprises the borough of Butler, Pennsylvania.
